Where a single tooth is missing, the bridge method requires the neighbouring teeth to be reduced. With an implant application, a single superstructure is prepared on the titanium root placed into the gap; no intervention is made on the neighbouring teeth. The placement procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. The shade and form of the superstructure are determined taking the neighbouring teeth into account. The suitability of the treatment and the expected duration are explained by the dentist after clinical examination and radiological assessment.
